    Disbursements

    Disbursements are costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties, such as Land Registry fees.

    We handle the payment of the disbursements on your behalf to ensure a smoother process.

    This following list of potential disbursements is not exhaustive and other disbursements may apply. We will update you on the specific fees upon receipt of your Deeds and Mortgage Offer.

  • How long will my re-mortgage take?

    How long it will take for your re-mortgage to complete will depend on how quickly you receive your Mortgage Offer. The average process takes between 5 -6 weeks.

    Stages of the process

    The precise stages involved in the Re-Mortgage of a residential property will vary according to the circumstances. However, we set out below some key stages:

  • Take your instructions and give you initial advice
  • Obtain copies of the deeds for your property
  • Obtain a Redemption Figure for any existing mortgages/charges
  • Report to you on the new mortgage once we receive the offer from your lender.
  • Send the Mortgage Deed to you for you to sign and return.
  • Agree completion date (date from when the mortgage is taken out)
  • Arrange for all monies needed to be received from your lender
  • Complete the re-mortgage
  • Deal with the registration of the new mortgage at the Land Registry.
